FJS-2026>

Welcome to FJS 2026 website

On behalf of the French-Japanese Society of Fine and Medicinal Chemistry, it is our great pleasure to invite you to the 30th FJS-2026 Symposium, which will take place in the heart of Paris from September 14 to 17 2026 at Université Paris-Cité

This anniversary edition will highlight the most recent advances in organic and medicinal chemistry, including synthetic methodology, catalysis, chemical biology, but also the growing impact of artificial intelligence and HTE in drug discovery and development.
Beyond the scientific program, the FJS symposium continues to foster the long-standing friendship, open exchange, and close collaborations between French and Japanese researchers from both academia and industry.

We look forward to welcoming you to Paris in September 2026 for this special 30th edition.

A bit of history...

In the early 1980s, Yoshio Ban, Yuichi Kanaoka, Pierre Potier (Golden medal of CNRS, member of the Académie des Sciences) and Jean Mathieu (Roussel-Uclaf) have suggested to organize French-Japanese meetings around fine and medicinal chemistry. The first meeting took place in 1981 in Biwako (Japan), and since that date, French-Japanese Symposia (FJS) are organized alternatively in Japan and France every 18 months. Thus, the 30th FJS 2026 organized in Paris follows previous symposia in Sendai (2025) and Nice (2023).
